I'm the Principal Librarian for Technology at the Eugene, OR Public Library.  As well as overseeing technical contracts, Circulation, and Technical Services, I supervise the library computer staff, and have almost incidentally overseen the website for the last 6+ years.  Our web space is a subset of the City portal pages, which makes for some interesting contortions in providing service.  My other tech responsibilities also involve RFID and automated sorting.  I run the Tech Logic RFID Users group, and started the RFID_LIB email list.  I also own the RFID in Libraries blog, but this has been sadly neglected in the last three years since my son was born.

In my previous job, I was the Webmistress for the Oakland, CA public library, overseeing their first formal website redesign.  It's time to do something similar in Eugene, and while I'd been to IL several times when I lived in state, I haven't been back for about 5 years.  Excited to be re-connecting.

And amused that the pre-conference I'm in on Sunday has Marshall Breeding as one of the leaders, since I last saw him in Syracuse, NY only 2 short weeks ago at an ILS User group meeting.  I am not presenting at IL, but did present as part of an Accidental IT panel at the Polaris User Group meeting, where I'm a Steering Committee member.  Most of my presentations over the last 6 years have been on RFID, however.

I can be found in Facebook, am a recovering WOW-player, and am doing more management work than perhaps is good for me these days.
