Shared Transportation
If you're looking to hook up with someone to share a cab ride to and from the airports post that info here.
Arriving
Amy Mather (amather@omahapubliclibrary.org) would love to hitch a ride to Monterey with anyone flying into San Jose late Friday -- 11pm.
Louise Alcorn (louise.alcorn@wdm-ia.com) is coming in at 11am on Saturday. I have a preconference at 1:30 and the shuttle (1.5hrs) doesn't leave until noon - anyone renting a car who could maybe get me there a bit faster?
John Kirriemuir (john@silversprite.com) is coming by Amtrak train from Los Angeles the day before (Sunday 19th). Whoooo! Trouble is, it gets into Salinas at 6:36pm which doesn't seem to leave enough time to get the last bus to Monterey. Boooo! 8,000 mile trip and FAIL on the last leg :-( Anyone else getting that Amtrak train, or is likely to be in Salinas at that time the evening before the event, and want to split a cab fare?
Departing
Matt Hamilton (thebrewinlibrarian@gmail.com) can give rides to the San Jose Airport on Wednesday after the closing keynote. It's about an hour and a half according to Google Maps.
Amy Mather (amather@omahapubliclibrary.org) is also looking for a ride to San Francisco after the conference.
Jacquelyn Erdman (jerdman2@fau.edu) has access to a car and will be driving to San Francisco after the conference (Thurs). She is flexible on when to leave, but email soon as her car might fill up!
I will have a car rental and am flying out Wednesday at 12:30, so if you need a ride to the airport that day, let me know. I will leave the conference around 11 am. skrash@swri.org
Liz Paulus is looking for a ride to SF Wednesday after the closing session (or earlier - I'm flexible). I'm trying to get to North Beach, but I can be dropped at any BART or Muni stop. Email me at lizp (at) wccls (dot) org. Will share costs :-)
