Steven Kaye has worked for consulting firms since 1993, mostly recently for Novarica. At some point he will have a photo of himself he doesn't hate and put it here.
He has a shamefully neglected blog, The Corporate Librarian, which he will be handing off at some point after the conference, and spends far too much time commenting on FriendFeed. He's also the Bulletin Editor for the San Andreas Chapter of SLA.
This is his second Internet Librarian conference, and he hopes to act like he knows what he's doing this time.
Schedule
Saturday: W7 – Practical Project Management (1:30 PM - 4:30 PM)
Sunday: W19 – Open Source CMS for Libraries (1:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
Monday: Opening Keynote (9:00 AM – 9:45 AM), followed by either A106 – Improving Navigation & Findability (4:15 - 5:00 PM) or D104 – Practical Guide to a User-Focused Digital Library (2:15 - 3:00 PM), hopefully attending the SLA San Andreas Chapter dinearound at 6:30 PM
Tuesday: A202 – Finding Corporate Knowledge (11:30 AM - 12:15 PM) followed by A203 - Revitalizing Content in the Enterprise (1:30 PM - 2:30 PM) and A205 – SharePoint for Libraries: Streamlining Your Intranet Management (4:15 - 5:00 PM), and attending the Special Libraries and Corporate Info Services dinearound from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
With the usual wandering around to have lunch/dinner with people, collect pens and bags from vendors, etc..

Hi Steven,
I am up for an informal dine-around, and I will have a car, so we are not limited by location, just car size! I am hosting a dine around, I think on Sunday night, so I am free Monday or Tuesday. I just added my profile, so you can check it out to get my story.

Hi Steven, This is my first time at IL. I work at Elan Pharmaceuticals and am also up for an informal dine around. I will be adding my profile soon. How are you getting to Monterey?

I'm taking light rail to San Jose Diridon, and the bus to Monterey from there. Looks like there's a special libraries/corporate information services dinearound Tuesday night, 6:00 PM-7:30 PM. Look forward to seeing both of you!

From the sla-csna mailing list (subscribe at http://www.sla.org/content/community/lists/joinlists.cfm):
Ann will reserve a table for up to 12 people at Stokes Restaurant & Bar on Monday night October 20th. The reservation will be set for 6:30. Stokes is located within easy walking distance of the conference center, at 500 Hartnell St. Stokes brands itself as serving food with the "bold flavors of the California Riviera." The menu changes daily, but get a sense of the cuisine by checking out their menu at the following link.

If you are interested in taking one night at the conference to network with your Chapter mates, please contact Ann directly by phone or e-mail so she can adjust the reservation or contact you if plans change for any reason.
